We Are All in This Together: Stories of Hope & Recovery – Portraits Exhibit Opening

We Are All in This Together: Stories of Hope & Recovery – Portraits Exhibit Opening

We are excited to announce the opening reception of the Portraits Exhibit, “We Are All in This Together: Stories of Hope and Recovery.” Join Healing Cortland, the Cortland Area Recovery Project and documentary photographer Zack Bolton for the opening reception of an ongoing portrait and storytelling series now centered around telling stories of those touched by overdose and recovery. The opening reception of the Exhibit will be Saturday, November 18 from 12pm-2pm in the lobby of the Cortland Free Library (32 Church Street).

“This exhibit tells the inspirational stories of community members with lived experience and the tremendous accounts of their loved ones. Through education, empathy and community support, we can change the old and damaging narratives that surround addiction and substance use because WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.”

This is a continuation of a project that started over two years ago with the first iteration being focused on those who had lost someone to overdose. You can view those portraits from “It Could Be Anyone” here

Meet those involved, including Zack Bolton and some of the participants, and enjoy some refreshments!
